How Many Days In A Row Can High Intensity Efforts Be Sustained?

Hey everyone,

Welcome to FIT FC this week we are going to talk about how many days in a row can we sustain a high intensity efforts.First off let's go ahead and paint a picture and say nutrition's perfect sleep is perfect and you have low stress. So of all the variables that play a major role are spot on. Getting great sleep, eating well and very low stress. From there we can look and see how many days in a row can we actually maintain high intensity.

There are two ways to look at it, first is if it's the same movement. Let’s look at say sprinters and weight lifters and all the data collected. We are really seeing that it's going to be hard to hit a good number or threshold past two days. You will be getting good results on day one and day two day three it starts to taper off.

Now say if the the workouts or the tests are different in those three days, like a Sprint on day one, a pull up/push up workout on day two and a row test on day three. We are finishing that as long as the stimuluses and movements are changing then we can go three days in a row. Once you get into that fourth day no matter what you're doing and with movement selection it does get really hard to sustain a good result high intensity wise.

So keep that in mind when you go to training. If you're training four or five days hard in a row you're probably not getting the best result that you could get if you're adding in rest days with within that week. alright guys
